Biography: Jason Burkart
Jason was created in the small Canadian hockey community of Trail, British Columbia. He played hockey for the most of his youth at the triple A and junior levels. Later, he changed his focus to refereeing and eventually found employment in the Western Hockey League and the East Coast Hockey League as a professional. Kurt Russell’s Miracle and The Tooth Fairy movies both hired him because of his ice skating abilities (Dwayne Johnson). He made the decision to pursue acting and writing, while working on The Tooth Fairy and sending Dwayne The Rock Johnson to the sin bin. After a few weeks, he had secured his very first audition, and he was hooked. Jason dove right in, and two years later he was working with his buddies on the comedy Jackhammer, starring Jamie Kennedy, Pamela Anderson, Robb Wells, and Nicole Sullivan.
The movie went on to premiere at four film festivals, received distribution from Phase 4 Films (eOne), and is now accessible on demand through Hulu and iTunes. Soon after, Jason was cast in a recurring role as Little John on the popular ABC television series Once Upon A Time.
